Although not knowing the Vaio specifically, in general right click on a blank part of the desktop and select SCREEN RESOLUION. Select the highest possible resolution shown and then click OK. The screen may blank for a second but will return and you can then elect to use the new resolution.

YearPlanner OK on XP but not on Windows 7.

Click on the Start button, and go to where you click on this program.

Right-Click on YearPlanner, and choose Properties ( at the bottom).

A window opens, and at the top of that window, the third tab from the left is \'Compatibility Mode\'. Click on this tab.

You can try the \'Help me choose the settings\'

just check the Compatibility Mode box (i.e. click on the box).

then click on the down arrow at the far-right of the rectangle box that probably says Windows Server 2008.

You will get a list where you can choose \'Windows XP\'.

Go to the bottom right and choose APPLY,

then click OK.

You should be good to go.

Another trick to get a window to maximize is to Right-Click the program in the task bar, and then click on the program from there.

Hope this helps, all the best to you,

Vga draiver for window 7 OS

The VGA Adapter that is installed in this computer is Intel 915GM. As it is, your HP Compaq NX6110 was designed for Windows XP.

Even if your laptop's processor meets Windows 7 requirements, some of its components might not, as such your laptop's VGA Adapter. Intel so posted themselves that Windows 7* drivers are not available for the following older Intel® graphics controllers. And one of them is your kind of VGA Adapter. You may double check this information from the HP Website through this LINK.

I suggest you downgrade your Windows 7 back to Windows XP so you can maximize its capability and use it as it was designed for.

I hope this works for you. Kindly reply/comment for further assistance. Good Luck!

DVD drive Read problem in my Dell Dimension 3000

Make sure you have any and all Windows 7 updates from Microsoft, along with any updates for your DVD drive for use with Windows 7. Some components work fine using Vista SP2 drivers, but some will need an update to work with Windows 7.

This Microsoft site might help verify if your DVD drive is compatible with Windows 7:

Since it is the 2004 version, it may not have the windows 7 support. You can try to run windows 7 in XP mode. (It is a virtual XP machine within the windows 7) The purpose is to maximize compatibility.

I have a acer aspire t180 gb7z pc and i would like to know what is the maximum ram speed i can upgrade to

You have 4 slots, capable of handling 4GB of memory but CAUTION: most machines come installed with 32 bit Windows OS. To maximize memory you must have 64 bit Windows OS. With 32 bit system, its probable that 1GB will be all your machine will handle.
