Pull on the tap head. Straight out. Hard. Here's the Weedeater manual. http://72.3.225.179/manuals/545117522e.pdf The spool should just pull out, its held in by 2 clips, royate it till it pops up then pull it out, with a wiggling motion, Grasp firmly and pull straight out....per tech support from 800 number on machine.

What's the proper way to retread a weedeater

Hi Ed:
Several different types:
- Individual short pieces. Push through to inside, stuff new ones in from outside.
- Single long wind - Remove spool. wind on, tuck thru guide hole. replace spool
- Double long wind - Remove spool - centre line, wind on, tusck thru guide holes, replace spool.
TIP: Running the line too long uses energy and sometimes you can't get the RPM up enough to cut effectively.

Unsieze a weedeater motor after using regular gas

Even if you are able to "unseize" it, it may not run afterwards. The reason you NEED to add oil to the gasoline is because that is the only lubrication the engine gets! You can try to unseize it by removing all of the remaining gasoline from it and putting in ONLY some 2 cycle engine oil. Then you will need to attempt to turn the engine shaft back and forth using the weedeater feed spool as a lever handle. IF, and I say if it breaks loose you may not have sustained alot of damage. If it doesn't...

Here is the info from the manual, the replacement line is put in near the center of the spool on the top of it, you simply feed it in. I have included a link to the manual so you can see the pictures. Look at page 10 for these instructions.

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly (almost old at 56)
I looked up your parts and have come to the conclusion that you have items 13, 14 and 15 of this link:
http://www.ereplacementparts.com/images/poulan/RT112_.pdf

Watch the video in this link:
http://www.ehow.com/video_4426520_learn-spool-weed-eater.html
it should help you.

I found the manual here:
http://lawnandgarden.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/weed_eater/rt110_rt112.html

SEE PAGE 7 of the above manual. Includes pictures. Try pressing in and rotating the spool to remove it.

1. Disconnect the unit from the power

source.

2. Remove the spool by firmly pulling on the

tap button.

3. Clean entire surface of hub and spool.

4. Replace with a pre-wound spool or cut a

length of 30 feet of 0.065! (1.65 mm) diameter

Weed Eaterr brand line. Use of

heavier lines could overload and damage

unit.

WARNING: Never use wire, rope,

string, etc., which can break off and become a

dangerous missile.

5. Insert one end of the line about 1/2 inch (1

cm) into the small hole inside the spool.

6. Wind the line evenly and tightly onto the

spool. Wind in the direction of the arrow

found on the spool.

7. Push the line into the notch, leaving 3 to 5

inches (7 -- 12 cm) unwound.

8. Insert the line into the exit hole in the hub

as shown in the illustration.

9. Align the notch with the line exit hole.

10. Push the spool into the hub until it snaps
into place.

11. Pull on the line extending outside the hub

to release it from the notch; otherwise, the
unit will not function properly.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

My printer says paper jam but i see no paper jam

There might be paper jammed internally or the spool might just be stuck. On the back of your printer should be a removable panel(it may be on the bottom depending on you make and model). After removing the panel if no pape jamer is visible try rotating the spool and reconnecting.

There should be a round knob at the bottom of the spool where the string is. Twist off counter clockwise and the spool of string will drop off.

Ryobi 725R weedeater

First unscrew the bump line leter outer. Then remove the yellow line holder, you will see 2 line grooves for each of 2 lines you will wind into the spool. You will see an inlet area at each of the 2 line holders, you will take about 8-10 feet of line and thread the line into the the groove inlet it will poke out the top of the spool. You will see 2 small holes on the top of the spool, feed just the tip of the line into the hole and pull the line tight on the groove side. Do this on both grooves on the spool, once the line is secure, fish each line into the holes on the spool head and secure with the bump spool leter outer. After spool is secure take the entire spool and wind back into the spool head. you will see the line wind into the spool. make sure you wind the right direction. Once you have seen how this is done, look at the bottom of your assembled spool and you will see 2 arrows. If you have no line in the spool, line up the arrows and take 8-10 feet of line and feed as you did when you have the spool removed. The line should feed through the spool and the line will stick up from the bottom, turn the line and feed just the tip of the line into the retainer hole and pull tight from the spool let-out, once secure wind line back into the spool. Once you have done this once its very easy to do over and over!!!
