ok u can't connet to the network?
is it because u need a password? if so then u may need to go into ur router setting and change it from there... other wise if u are conneting to someone else network.. u will need there password... or network key....
You must have the wireless router in the network. Your computer is not able to get the IP address from the router. It happens when you type the incorrect network key ( if it secured). you can try to disconnect from the network and reconnect to the network. Click Here for more information
You must reconfigure the wireless settings on the wireless computer. Go to Network and Sharing Center > Manage Wireless Networks. Now you must delete all the prefered wireless network profile there. If they are all deleted, click on ADD > Click Add A Network in range of this computer > Select the signal from your router and connect. If it asks you for a network key, you should know that, otherwise, contact your router provider to determine what your network key is. That should solve it.
>Start >Control Panel >Network and Sharing Center >Manage Wireless Network >Double Click on your Wireless Network or SSID > Click on "Security" tab >On "Security Type" click on down arrow to select "No Authentication (Open) " >Click OK and it should connect !
If compuetr always saying acquiring network address you can try firt restarting the computer, but if still wont get a valid ip address, you need to adjust the wireless settings of the router and after that try to reconnect to the wireless network....
just connect the linksys router to wireless router and just install the setup cd given with wireless router ..after configuring your laptop just insert the cd in another laptop and copy WEP key in it and get connected through wireless network
obviously, you cannot use a cable to link up from your office network.
1 know your provider and the kind of WAN service offered
2.Get a router that is compatible with your office network and configure your router with similar priorities with that of your officce network(a wireless radio might be require)
or if you are not vast networking, invite a network administrator to do it for u
Device communication issue! This sometimes occurs fro many reasons mainly FIREWALLS~ In order to keep this from happeninig you should probably setup a static address on your laptop or if your network has a SSID, it needs to be manually set into your adapter because it is not picking up your network. This often happens when you use your laptop in or on other networks. Easy fix, but need answers to these questions!
