Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

It is normal behavior for the Kodak C613's screen to go off when connected to usb. With Kodak's usb driver installed, you should see two disk drives Appear in Windows Explorer. If not, please advise. The Easyshare software should recognize the camera as well.

SOURCE: I having problems with uploading

Having gone over a month without a response to my query, I assume my suggestion to use a card reader solved the problem.

How do i import photos from my vtech camera?

If your camera came with USB Cable - hook to the camera, then to your computer- then go to My Computer - look for the name of the camera- open that- then look for DCIM File folder - open that and then your photos should show. Select the ones you want and either drag them into your Pictures folder or Copy and Paste the ones you want on the computer Or if the camera hooks to computer wirelessly - go to whatever software program came with the camera

Are you using the Nikon software? It should be able to see the picture. Also, the camera has both a memory card and internal memory. If the picture is on the internal memory and a card is inserted, the picture will not show up. Remove the card.

OK...step 1...check all cables. Hooking the cable up and turning the camera on should put it in transfer mode...does camera do this?

If yes, step 2...go to system information and uninstall drivers.

step 3....use uninstall programs to remove sony software (BACK UP PICS FIRST)

step 4....reboot

step 5...reinstall software

sounds like your drivers are toast or your usb port is shot...try moving the cable to another usb port

Do you have a usb cable to hook to your camera and computer? That is the easiest way to download pictures. However, you might try going to my computer (after already having inserted the card) and see if the card shows up. If so, click it and then click move files. You will have to choose where to move to, I suggest My documents/my pictures. Also, have you installed the kodak software? If not, here's the website: http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=11467&pq-locale=en_US
