FIRSTLY REMOVE THE BATTERY AND PLUG IT TO THE OUTLET DIRECTLY AND NOTICE IF IT COMES UP AND THEN FOR GOOD 10 MINUTES THEN PUT IN THE BATTERY, IF IT GOES OFF THEN LEAVE FOR 10 MINUTES TO RE-BOOST THE BATTERY. BUT FOR THAT TIME IF IT DID NOT COME ON BY PRESSING IT ON THEN YOU WILL HAVE TO REPLACE THE BATTERY WITH NEW ONE AND THEN YOU WILL BE ABLE TO USE IT DIRECTLY WITH A UPS (UNINTERRUPTED POWER SUPPLY) DEVICE OK. BUT TRY DOING THAT FIRST AND LATER  REPOST THE CHANGES YOU FIND.

The red light is indicating that there is a battery in the system that does not respond to charging.
if the computer doest regognize a battery at all i would nor react with orange blinking.
Start the computer without the battery in place,
only have the power cord connected,
There will be no blinking.
Dell use the "blink" to tell the user its time to buy a new battery.

No power battery flashes 4 orange

If it is orange or is blinking orange, the battery charge is low or expended. Remove the battery and re-install it. Plug in the AC adapter and connect it to an outlet. Turn on the computer.

When the battery status light blinks green and orange, the battery temperature is too hot for charging. Shut down the laptop, detach the AC adapter, and allow the laptop and battery to return to room temperature before attempting to charge the battery.

If the battery status light blinks orange rapidly, the battery itself may be defective.

On my dell inspiron mini there is an orange blinking light while its on the charger & it wont go away even if my laptop is charged. if you have an answer to help with this problem i would appericate...

Hi.

The orange flashing LED light means that the laptop battery is not charging to 100%. This could mean that the battery is getting ready to fail or is in the process of degrading.
You could be looking at replacing the battery in near future.

Regards.

I have a dell inspiron 1525 the battery light was blinking orange and wouldnt come on so listening to an expert i bought a new battery when you first plug it in should the light still be orange??

Hi. Blinking orange light on battery indicator means it's charging. To make sure, point your mouse to the battery icon on the Taskbar located on the lower right-hand corner of your screen...near the system time and speaker icons. It should say plugged in, charging. If you see "plugged in, not charging, then you need to call Dell Phone Support for additional help.

Inspiron 1200 battery light continually flashing orange

If your battery LED flashes or is solid Yellow or Amber color, this usually indicates battery is beginning to go bad. Eventually it will not hold a charge and will need to be replaced.
