Question about Sony Ericsson K800i Cellular Phone
Hi, the main reason the screen turns whits is due to the thin ribbon that sends the data from the circuit board to the screen being damaged what happens is that the thin copper wires that are inside the ribbon ware and then break causing a short to the screen and this is what turns the screen white. this happens on most flip and slide phones as the ribbon moves when you slide or flip the phone so over time it becomes brittle and you lose the connection and this turns the screen white.
sometimes it will right itself if you open and close the phone a couple of times but this wont be a long term fix how ever it may be that bad that this will no longer work, its not expensive to get this ribbon replaced but taking you phone to a small phone shop would be your cheapest option.
