It makes a rattling sound when i turn it on

It could be the box. Boxes wear out over time and get loose. If not then its the voice coil. Theyre not blown all the way but youve done damage and burned some voice coil. I have 2 of them with bad voice coils that do that rattling. But they still hit super hard. To find out take the sub out the box and turn it up. If no noise then its the box.

My kicker 12 inch solo-baric L7 rattles real bad like something is loose but there is nothing visibly loose what could it be ?

Its blown. Maybe not completely but youve done some damage. If your sure its not hitting the box anywhere and its tight, then thats what it is. Youve burnt the voice coils a little. They regulate how far the sub goes in and out. I have two kicker L7 12s that have bad voice coils. And thats what they do. Theyre in my trunk though so its not to noticeable and they still hit super hard. -->

Also it could be the seal for the box. They wear out and boxes get leaks or weak causing flexibility in the material so when subs hit it vibrates the box really bad. Try removing she speaker from the box then turn it up and see if it makes the noise. If not then its probably the box. Let me know.

When hooked up to together they dont hit hard. But when i take one off it hits hard

when you go between having one speaker connected and two spkrs connected you, in effect, are changing the total Ohm load place on the amplifier channel, therefore changing the output wattage of the amplifier.

I have a brand new L7 is it blown?

check to make sure your box is securely sealed and that the box itself is not rattling. if not, most subs require a break in period where they can not be played full gain/full volume for the first 48 or so hours... did you break in your subs by paying it softly the first day and slowly turning your amps gain and receivers volume up the next couple of days. if not, it is likely blown

I have 3 Kicker solobarics Hooked to 1 ohm, But

It likely has a blown voicecoil - or the voicecoil is damaged in a certain spot - so when you play a certain frequency it cuts out.

Aso check the integrity of the tinsel wires - if they are loose or hitting the basket, it would stop playing.

BTW - it is impossible to wire a 1 ohm load with (3) single or 4ohm voicecoils.

Be sure your wiring is correct - or the amplifier will be the next thing to go.

Kicker sub wont work

Im guessing that it is possibly blown... either you ran too much power to it, or it was hooked up wrong... you should unscrew the sub from the box and look inside to make sure that it is connected correctly.... positive to positive, negative to negative,,, if they so much as touched then the L7 could very well be blown.... smell the magnet and if you smell a burnt smell... it is blown... maybe turn your amp down a little... its possible that it is also in protect mode because you are running too many watts to the amp. Feel free to ask if you have any other questions.... Please rate! :D And good luck... i really hope its not burnt out. that stuff is not cheap.

Kicker L7 Repair

With the price of speakers dropping all the time it's really not worth repairing as it will cost too much to have it fixed by hand.
