If the problem is just with the PDF files from the web ..than the problem is not with the adobe reader but with the browser...probably has something caught in the temporary files or ..it has a malfunction for some reason ..so ...first go to tools and internet options ..and delete recent files and cookies..and all browsing history ...than if the browser you use is other than internet explorer ..just reinstall it ..If it is internet explorer ..roll it back by uninstalling it from the control panel.add remove programs.. Sometimes the explorer 8 or 7 have issues of scripts and such ..and the error pops up and force you t close... reinstalling the browser and deleting temporary files and cookies should fix the issue .. By the way ..to check the issue open a PDF stored in the computer and see how it behave ..but Im sure it will work so the issue is with the browser..
