Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook

Computer with not enought resources

My computer keeps telling me that it does not have enough resources to complete an operation. It does have enough memory and hard drive, but I think it is probably not allocated correctly. How do I reallocate and are there other suggestions.
I just had this computer "repaired" and they reformatted...against my wishes. That is when my problem began.

You might need to increase the Virtual Memory (which is hard disk space that is used when the RAM is full).
I know of an article on how to increase the virtual memory in XP, but Vista and Windows 7 are not that different.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Keep getting-We couldn't complete the updates. Undoing changes. Don't turn off your computer.

If a computer is working properly never get into updates since all they do, often enough, is ruin a good thing. U only update when a program that you must have working has to have the latest update in your OS or whatever.

Auto up dates should be turned off on your computer for that reason. Furthermore, you have no control when the auto feature turns on and if it does so when your computer is loaded down with a resource intensive program, you are in deep doo doo because mistakes will be made..

Compaq presario s5100nx very slow windows xp

1GB of RAM is not enough to run Windows XP and the programs you installed efficiently. Removing unnecessary programs should make more memory available for necessary programs but it will never be fast. Crucial.com is a great resource for memory upgrades but I don't think you should invest in a computer that old with a completely unsecure and unsupported operating system (XP).

I hope this helps.

Computer keeps on "Freezing" intermittently for approx 1-2 min. During this time nothing seems to work.

Can be a lot of causes...

1) A device is not working properly and monopolize all system resources (try to spot exclamation marks in Device Manager).

2) A variant of 1. A driver is having a problem (try to spot exclamation marks in Device Manager).

For 1 and 2, try to use your computer without a peripheral (scanner, printer, ...) at a time (unplug the peripheral before starting the system). If the problem persists, the peripheral unplugged is not the problem.

3) You have a Virus (Trojan or so) or a malware. If you don't have an antivirus this is most likely the cause. Install one.

4) Your RAM has a problem (try to use diagnose tools).

5) Your Hard Disk (or one of them) has a problem (try to use diagnose tools).

6) Your Hard Disk has not enough free space.

7) You are running too many applications in parallel and your computer has not enough resources to handle them properly.

1996 GMC JIMMY WILL NOT START: Turn the ignition and there is a repeated clicking sound. The interior lights, radio and power windows still function. Replaced the "in line" fuel filter under the...

It sounds like you probably have a shorted battery cell. This will not only cause the repeated clicking that you described, but it will also rob power when jump-starting from another vehicle. There is probably enough power when jump starting to turn the starter over, but after the starter take the power that it needs, there is not enough power to operate the computer system....so I have no doubt that you probably are not getting any fuel. The computer has to tell the fuel pump to run. If there is no power for the computer....I think you can figure it out from here.

Replace the battery and try it again.
