On the back of the unit, there should be a small reset button. Pushing and holding that button for about 5 - 10 seconds should reset the unit.
If that doesn't work, you may want to read WarMaiden.org's solution to getting the computer to recognize the Walkman...it may work for you.

The link to the WarMaiden website doesn't seem to exist anymore, but I wrote about a possible solution to get the NWZ-S545 recognized by Windows XP and Windows Vista not too long ago. If you are using either of these operating systems on your computer, give it a try and see if it solves your problem.

Thanks for the link, but I actually have other problem(it looks similar to sexyred_044's): My walkman worked fine for some time and my computer(windows7) was able to recognise it. But now it just cant turn on: shows the boot screen for about 15 seconds, thens turns off. Now computer sees it, but cannot open its folders, reporting an error(I tried both MPT and non-MTP modes) Reset doesn't help too.

How can I change the background in SONY NWZ-S545

Hi snake 131,
I'm afraid you probably can't. I have one of these things, only one year older, but I have not yet found anything to do with changing appearances or color. I'm afraid it is stuck that way, but you can still check online at http://www.sony-asia.com/support/product/nwz-s545.
