I have a 300 series weedeater brand lawnmower that revs up and down i've changed carborators several times and that's not the problem could give me some good ideas

Throatle springs are worn out your throatle is just bouncing try replacing the springs

    I just cleaned my air filter. That fixed the problem for me.

...ummm, there isn't a throttle cable on that model, do you mean the engine shut-off cable?

To every one that owns small engines,mowers,weedeaters,ect

ah spring is in there air time to break out the lawnmower,weedeater,chainsaw,ect somebeach it worked great the last time I used it pull,pull,whats going on pulled so hard i broke the cord got gas went and bought a new plug still nothing swich on fullchoke honey weedeater gone bad honey i need a new chain saw cheaper to by a new one than to put it in the shop now the real problem when you put up that weedeater,that cool tiller,that awsom chainsaw the one thing you did not do is drain the exess fuel when you store this equiptment for extended periods of time drain the gas in a safe manor start that weedeater , chainsaw, ect and run it completly out of fuel ya see when gas or oil&gas mixtuers sit they evaporate leaving a laquor like substance gumming up your fuel/air mixture needle&seat floats nasty stuf next thing you know theres me driving through your neighborhood picking up your weedeater,that cool rototiller ,nice lawnmower dude yess now rebulding a carborator can be a pain sometimes but if you have patients it can be done get a can of carborator cleaner with extension hose clean the outside of the carb so you can see what your doing and not getting trash where it dosent belong check your fuel lines they tend to get hard and crumble take one hose off at a time some only have one but most have two spray cleaner back twords tank see cleaner in tank cool next spray cleaner into fuel inlet a couple of bursts reconect hosess spray cleaner down carb air intake pulling on throttle to open choke flap for a deeper clean now assemble go through normal starting prociedures still a problem now it gets deep you have air/fuel mixtures screws ,diaframes if you dont feel safe about getting deeper into that carb go to lawn mower shop with ser# how many cc maker of carb stamped on carb most likley a warbro tell them you want a rebuild kit not expencive and schematic I would like to tell you a lot more but there are so many varables its crazy so going back to the begining DRAIN THAT EXCESS FUEL START THAT ENGINE TILL IT COMPLETELY RUNS OUT BEFOUR YOU STORE you will be a lot happier so will your wife .!!!zaper!!!

which engine does it have look where the govern spring
attaches to the throttle where it hook to the tang it is bend
able have to be careful they only should be at 3600 rpms

1984 yamaha 200 ATC carborator troublshooting

1.5 to 2.5 depending on altitude. turn it all the way in and back it out to min first, if wont run smoothly continue out by quarter turns.
make slow adjustments and rev it up several times between adjustments to allow for idle settings and float response.

I have a Weedeater brand weedeater that needs the carburator adjusted. I am not sure how far the adjustment screws need to be turned out. Can you help?

Start with about 1 1/2 turns. Then, when you get the motor started, hold the throttle to full and adjust the screw until the motor revs up and evens out. Likewise for the low speed. If you give it the gas and it dies or stutters, turn the other screw slightly 'til it revs up without hesitation.

Weedeater 20" push mower 300 series 4.5 hp B & S The engine kind of dies down from time to time, it doesn't completely quit. I was wanting to know what that might be and I was also needing to know...

you have water in your fuel tank, drain the tank by using a catch bucket and tip the mower sideways to empty out the fuel tank. replace with fresh fuel. Use any motor oil rated at 10W30 for the oil change.

All belts are not created equal. I recommend staying with the manufacturer's belt. Riding mower belts have to take a lot of torque when engaged and a lesser belt will have much less life. You may end up changing belts several times to learn a valuable lesson.

The bottom part of my weedeater where the line commes out wont spin i have taken the gear box off and it is broken where can i find parts for this weedeater the brand is called solo is ther anyone in...

any lawnmower repair shop in new zealand should be able to give you the info you are looking for unfortunately im in the states and do not know about your area... sorry.

Lawnmower will start but will not stay on

I had the same problem, what you need to do is adjust your throttle. To do that you there is a switch right in front of the filter. If you are looking right at it pull it all the way to left. If this dosen't work then check the springs that are connected to that switch they have a bad habit of coming loose. I had to replace all of my springs. Hope that helps.
