Question about Apple Computers & Internet
Most likely its the power supply or the video on the mainboard. It is a cheap capacitor issue that was addressed. Warranties were extended. If you have an apple store near you and your unit is less than 4 years old you may qualify for free repair or replacement. You could call apple to find out for sure but sometimes the apple stores will just do it out of loyalty.
If you go to the apple web site search support for G5 imac and there are some troubleshooting tips.
