Canon Pixma Printer trouble

My converted iP1200 is currently blinking green, yellow, green, yellow on the power lights after start up and print request. The pop-up prompt suggests turning off the printer and turning it back on. I have done that four times as well as rebooting my laptop.

What is the problem?
(The brief operators manual has nothing on this.)

Error 5100 is always seen... manual reset is ok but when pc and printer is turned-off and on again same problem occurs... i have tried manual reset and software reset but it's no good.. it'll always go back to its original problem.... HELPPPPP!
