The sound just stoped suddenly.

Restart in safe mode - Tap F8 as soon as the computer starts up, before windows has a chance to start.. I do Safe Mode with Networking.. The screen in safe mode will need to be adjusted so you can see better.. this is a testing mode.. Now in safe mode, try playing a sound or a video.. If you have sound, then chances are you computer is infected. If there still isn't any sound, it's either a faulty sound card or you need to reload you sound card drivers.. Hope this helps you.

If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at

I am having D101GC motherboard. Suddenly sound card stoped working. I purchased PCI sund card and it was working properly for few months and stoped working. I have formated the system and tried installing...

After installing pci soundcard you really should disable the onboard sound through bios as the PC may just have become confused as to which sound its trying to use. Also in control panel under sound devices make sure your soundcard is listed and the mute box is not checked.

Got no sound it stoped workin , it seems like after i got sp3 for xp pro is when it stoped.

Try updating your sound drivers, they can be found on the sound card manufacturers website. If you do not know your sound card type do the following.
Right click on My Computer on your desktop and choose Properties. Or goto Control Panel, click "switch to classic view" in the upper left corner and then double click the "system" icon in the window.
Click the Hardware tab, then click on Device Manager.
In the dialog that appears, click the [+] near Sound, Video and Game Controllers. Your sound card should be listed there.

My thought is to remove some of the pictures from the Card or the one you put on and see if it starts working again!

My left speaker on my gateway ML3706 laptop just stoped working

If you get sound from both sides of the headphones when you plug it into the same jack the speakers normally plug into all you need to do is replace the speakers. If you mean you plug the headphones into the cd drive that's nothing special. You could have a bad sound card, bad connection in the jack, or bad speakers.
