Question about Kenmore 23822 Top Load Washer
Kenmore heavy duty
Sounds like a possible motor start problem, transmission or even a possible lid lock switch. Sears uses different model numbers when it comes to all their product they sell. The model number should look like this for example 321.25689 and the first thee numbers are the original company that made your washing machine. There are some test you can do by unplugging and take transmission belt off and see if you can move the transmission by hand. Try to find a model number like the one I listed and with that I can give you a better view of how and what is inside. Thanks, Sea Breeze
