Format my note book

Hello, At first, you need to install OS. When Acer is starting up press F2, and you are in setup. Go to Boot tab, than make your first boot drive CD, by pressing F6 - for up, or F5 for down. Then put your CD with OS in drive and restart. When it says press any key to boot from CD, do it. After that OS setup will start, and then follow the instructions. I suggests you to split your HDD on 2 partition (C:/ and D:/), and then install OS on C:. When your OS has been installed go to http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx and download needed drivers for your notebook.

How can i reformat my Blue IL1 notebook?? i think it has a virus... it doesn't continue loading, it restart when it reaches the windows xp logo... thanks for the help

Hello, you relly need to reformat it you can use an os installer suach as linux or windows using a usb flash drive, but you have to transfer the installer cd to the usb drive by using the wintoflash application. Once you've done that now you can reformat and install os in your notebook using your usb flash drive.

How to reformat my MSI notebook?

You need to have an valid Operating System installer CD/DVD. This could be a Windows or Linux installer or whatever Operating System that you prefer.

  1. Turn your laptop on.
  2. Open the CD drive and load the CD Installer.
  3. Reset your laptop to manually reboot it. If you loaded the CD fast, this step is no longer required.
  4. The setup program will then load. Follow the onscreen procedure.
  5. At the point of selecting the hard disk drive, choose "Delete Partitions" to completely remove all data.
  6. After deleting partitions, create new partitions for your hard disk. You can choose to divide your hard disk capacity into 2 or more partitions depending on your requirements.
  7. Format the root partition now (Drive C) to continue the installation.

Replacement harddrive into acer pc

No matter what you do, you need to partiton and format the drive and install an OS, be it with the Acer recovery disks or with an original XP install disk. You will need to boot from your CD drive to install the OS, if your drive is not bootable you will need to boot from a floppy and load drivers for the CD drive. For information on how to get these boot floppies check out this Microsoft link:

Mac OS X 10.4 Installation problem

If your computer ejects the Mac OS X 10.4 Installation DVD, it means that there's a good chance that your Mac doesn't have an Apple internal DVD drive or an Apple SuperDrive, you'll need Mac OS X 10.4 Install CDs.

If your mac is unable to read the CD or ejects it also, there's something wrong with your DVD\CD drive.

Installation of operating system

The picture is misleading. Haha anyways, Its really simple to install an operating system. All you need is the installation CD and proper installation hardware such as (DVD, CD, or DVD/CD rom). Along with a hard drive. Now before installing an "O.S" follow these simple steps:

1-make sure its compatible with your motherboard, some motherboards are not compatible with certain versions of O.S.
2- you have to make sure, your processor is capable of the running the O.S you plan on installing.
3- You have to make sure you have enough Ram to run the O.S (the Ram and processor both have to be compatible with the motherboard to begin with).
4-Make sure your Hard drive is capable of supporting the O.S by having sufficient space to satisfy your needs and the O.S itself.

Once you have followed those steps you can follow the on screen process provided by the O.S installation CD.

In your Case this is what you would need.

A motherboard suitable for the processor you wish to use.
16Mb of ram or more (a single 32Mb ram stick should do).
A Hard drive of atleast half a Gig (i would recommend 10Gig or more so you can store more files).

Cd or dvd rom drive

This might be due to a registry problem. Re-installing windows (OS) or repairing your OS installation can help. You can install from any previous back up or get the installation files in a USB storage device like pen drive.
You can also try the following which have worked .. insert the OS installation disk in the cd-dvd drive. restart Pc. change boot device option. installation of new OS begins. this is a hit n trial method, but has worked earlier.
