This is a new one on me. When I listen to a cd, i-tunes or audio streaming on my Gmax 2100 speakers, I get the normal pitch and tone for the instruments in music, but the voices all sound like little chipmunks. I suspect I need to rewrite my driver.
If this is the case, could someone please clarify for me - do the speakers have drivers or would it be the driver for the sound card? Googled "Gmax 2100 speaker drivers" and found nothing. Checked out Gateway's website without any luck either.
If you have a sound card added on your motherboard, i suggest you uninstall the drivers, take off the sound card, attach it again and install the drivers.
If you connect your speakers through the motherboard itself, uninstall drivers and install them by searching C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers

Dear Madam, Sir, I have had the Gateway Multimedia speakers G-max 2100 for quite a while now. For the past 2 years they were not hooked up to my computer. I just hooked them up again. The sound through the speakers is fine, also the sound trhough the headset is fine. I just can not seem to record any sound through the microphone of the headset. I have checked all settings for the microphone, but nothing seems to work. What can I do?
