Your audio wires may have shifted inside or disconnected inside. It happened to my sons old xbox 360.

Well it sounds like the disc drive and the laser that reads the discs is either weak or has gone bad then so so it will need to be replaced then. If the discs look fine then it's the disc drive gone bad

My friend list is gone. I was playing mw2, i turned it off, and I came on later, and everything has gone. I do not know what happened.

delete what you have on your comment bar and restart your computer and it should be back sounds crazy but it does work.

Sound went out on my PS2. Can it be fixed easily?

Everything can be fixed!!! As for your PS2's sound you yourself must configure out how its sounds gone,for that you must first change your PS2 connector cable other then power one,if changing that cable does not fix your problem then ask us about further assistance.Hope that solves your problem.

Xbox has sound but the picture is gone. What could the problem be?

take out the game turn off the console turn it back on with the guide button on the joypad then hold the right trigger and y this will reset the display settings on your console or try

to be honest it sounds like you drive has gone, unfortunately there isn't alot you can do for this problem, is just happens from time to time especially with the older core console.
send it back to microsoft, they will fix it or replace your console.

Hi, its sounds like the laser has gone as thats what reads the disks, i can recommend here for replacement laser to fit yourself or a repair service:
