When you rebuild these things, you really need to replace every o-ring and gasket in the gun including the trigger. I went through my gun once with a kit from senco, Still didn't work, I called them up and told them what was happening, he said send it to me, they fixed it for free, Just had something wrong. Check out the trigger. Hope this helps.

Senco brad gun plunger will not retract

When the driver doesn't retract it's because you have worn or broken o-rings inside the gun, usually the o-rings on the lower half of the cylinder or the piston ring. You'll have to take the gun apart to see what's wrong inside. In your heading you state you have a Porter Cable framing nailer, then below you say it's a Senco brad gun so I don't know what parts to recommend. It's best to buy a rebuild kit and replace all the o-rings at the same time if one's available for your gun.

Air tends to leak near trigger of my senco sls15 1/4" crown stapler . how can i stop it?

You have worn or broken o-rings/seals inside the gun. You need a Senco repair kit YK0393. Senco doesn't make them any more but there are still a few to be found on the internet. If you can't find one, go to the Senco webpage, find the parts breakdown for your gun and order all of the o-rings, seals and gaskets and rebuild your gun.

Sns45xp senco dosent shoot anl leak air for the cap

You have worn or broken o-rings in your upper firing and trigger system. You need a Senco repair kit #YK0230 to fix your problem. Fairly easy to do, replace one o-ring at a time to make sure you get them back in place properly and use the grease in the kit liberally. Since you'll have it apart I also recommend you get Senco repair kit #YK0231 which is the lower seals and piston stop. If the upper rings are going bad the lower rings won't be far behind.

SENCO Framing nailer suddenly decided not to fire. Air escapes from top of gun when trigger is pulled

You have some worn/broken o-rings inside the gun. You need Senco repair kit #YK0360 to fix it. Fairly easy to replace the o-rings, just be sure to put lots of lube on the rings as you put it back together.

I have a 16g. Senco nail gun. The problem is that the pisten will not retract. The pisten is about 2 years old. It does get a lot of use in the high school woodshop. I took the pisten out and there is a...

This is usually because an o-ring is broken or out of place. The o-ring on the driver is split so you can get it on the head. There is an o-ring at the bottom of the cylinder that covers a bunch of small holes that does break or sometimes gets blown out of place. Look on line for a Senco rebuild Kit #YK0393 and replace all the o-rings in the gun and you'll have a brand new gun.

I have some air nailers and staplers that have some leaks and aren't working properly. I would like to try rebuilding them, they are bostitch, paslode, and senco. I have found the rebuild kits for trigger...

The kits for the senco guns, have all the o-rings and seals needed to stop most leaks, no hard parts. You have to replace all of them, no oil is needed, but it needs to be clean, some have little tubes of grease for the o-rings. I'm sure the other guns are the same way. Some of them will give you a fit. I had a senco sfn1, totally rebuilt, still leaked, tried it again, still leaked, called senco, they said send it to us, they fixed it for free, but never said what the problem was. Some times the triggers go and you end up building the whole gun for nothing, and the trigger still leaks, they are the toughest to spot. I have seen a lot of complaints about paslode. We tried them all in our shop, and the senco was/is the best, So we fazed out all the other guns and kept the senco, so all the nails were from 1 dealer, all the parts, we weren't looking all over town for a box of staples.

Air leaks thru portals on cap after replacing rings and gaskets?

Remove the bumper cap and black exhaust hood from the gun. The three screws that hold the plunger to the poppet need to have lock washers and BLUE locktight on them. Clean them totally and reassemble.

I have a Senco Palm nailer. It works but there is a small air leak all the time. I am guessing it is one of the o-rings but not sure which one.

There are 3 reasons an air leak can take place on this tool.

1) Most likely your o-rings are worn.
2) If the leak is coming from between the head cap and the body, at the gasket. The gasket may need to be replaced.
3) Very unlikely, The body is worn where the o-rings contact the housing.

If it is not a gasket problem, open the tool and look at each o-ring. If any are worn, or have a small inconsistency replace it.

Here is a breakdown of Senco's current Palm Nailer.

My senco frame pro 650 has an air leak and is evident from the exaust port when sitting idle. Is there a gasket kit available? How do I diagnos where the leak is originating? Thanks

Its not gaskets it is ''o'' rings its not always that apparent with orings so you order in a oring kit and replace all orings pay attention with your triger orings as they are very small i suggest you get a white board and lay all components out in order of removal they are pretty staight forward in there no springs or nastey supprises Oring kit normally has exploded diagram of gun and how it goes together

Senco stapler piston will not return & the bumper is like new

Not much to go on there. As the plunger makes it's attempt to return, is there an increase in exhaust pressure? What I'm getting at is that there should be 2 sets of O rings. One for downward force and one for upward. Are both sets sealed tight? Are they lubed porperly? Could the cylinder wall from which the plunger functions be warped or defected in anyway? I'm just throwing this one out there so please don't be offended...Are the O rings the proper size?
