From the manufacturer's web-site:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/pfinder?query=DC5700M

it looks like either of the two versions of the DC5700M will accept an "add-in" video-card.

Take your PC to a computer-store, and have them open it up, and they will sell you a video-card that will be compatible with your computer.

Short beep then long beep

Per the HP website from my search for "BIOS beep codes HP," your computer has a problem with the memory (towards the bottom, expand out "Beep codes common to HP and Compaq desktop PCs:"

If your computer is under warranty, I would recommend calling HP for a solution beyond this point.

If it is not under warranty, make sure the computer is unplugged from power, use ESD precautions (Electrostatic Discharge - ground yourself from static electricity by touching something in the room - techs used grounding wrist straps) open the case, and IF (big if for an HP, but it's possible) your computer has more than one memory module, try removing one, then see if the computer will work properly. If it does, you have one bad stick of memory). If it doesn't repeat the test process with the other stick of memory.
