Question about Karcher 2500 PSI Pressure Washer
I have a Karcher power washer with the Honda GC190 engine. The connecting rod broke at the bottom. I've opened up the engine to replace it and can't remove the flywheel to replace the rod and piston assembly. Does anyone know how to remove the flywheel / cooler so I can replace the rod? By the way I've read a lot of posts here from others who have had a hard time pulling the starting cord. I experienced this too and had to end up having a shop replace the camshaft. If you have this problem the part from a shop was $18 + labor. If you're handy you may be able to installeplace camshaft yourself by opening up the top by removing the 4-10mm bolts from the top cover.

Take the spark plug out and then try to turn it over. If it still won't pull, it's probably locked up. If it got tipped forward or towards the spark plug oil may have went into the valves. If it pulls you may see some oil spray out. Clean off plug and try to wait for the smoke to clear. Hope this helps. Please rate me

This may not be a motor problem. It sounds like your pump is not working properly and the motor is just following the pump. First thing to do is check for leaks in the pump, wand hose, gun etc. It may also be a blown water seal inside the pump.

Well would you believe that I have the very same problem. I suspected that the pump was seizing up, so we tried the pump on another unit and it worked fine. On inspection of the motor we found the cam (which also operates the decompression mechanism) was worn out. It's made of hard plastic. It is only about 7 dollars too, so cheap enough to fix. I have mine ordered now and feel pretty confident that that should fix it.

I had the same thing. Had to use Lithium grease to get it to work properly. Must take the cheesy plastic thing with the silver top off first to get at it. Only lubed the large o-ring. Works like new.
