HOW TO Connect tl-740n wireless WIFI router to PTCL DSL WIFI ROUTER

The easiest way to chain two wireless routers. *Please note this is just to have wireless access*
Make sure DHCP is enabled for both, make sure their SSID (the name that shows up when you connect to it) is different.
Make sure they are both different networks. So for example configure the first for 192.168.0.0 network and the other for 192.168.1.0. Now plug an Ethernet cable from the 740n router (WAN) port into a (LAN)

Second method *This only works if the tl-740 router supports AP mode (Access point).
In the configuration of the 740 router, enable AP mode and make sure DHCP and nat are turned off if they are on. Configure the wireless to operate on channel 1 6 or 11. Name the SSID the same as the other router. Plug in Ethernet from WAN 740 to LAN on the other router. Now on the DSL router make sure the SSID is the same and select a different channel from (1,6,11). Now you're all set.

I have DSL-2640T router. I can't use the default ip address of that router ie. 192.168.1.1. I have a laptop. I want to join the laptop in my office through wireless. I don't know to make that router...

You could setup two different profiles, one for each wireless router.
Configure your home wireless router with a different SSID and encryption setting to the office wireless router.
Then configure the wireless card in your laptop with two different profiles, one for the office wireless router and one for the home wireless router. When you want to use the home or the office wireless router, just call up the profile you require.

Trying to install my belkin router

Is your computer connected to the router with the cable ?
For the initial set up of the router , you will need to connect the computer to the router . Make sure that there is not a static IP address on the Local area connection.
You can do it manually without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online through the modem.
If your computer is not able to go online through the modem then you will need to call ISP first.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem
then you need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.

Hi, whenever i reset my router to make changes

The first thing is that , you don't need to reset the router to make any changes.
When you reset the router, it comes back to the factory default settings. you will need to reconfigure the router.
If you want to make any changes on the router, do not reset the router. Simply open the set up interface of the router and make changes there.

Setting up wireless network

are you using the same brand? setting up 2 routers is possible. you have yo decide first which one is the main router. if you had the wired router already setup with internet it would be better if you make it the main router.

the easiest way to setup the 2 routers are by these steps:

1. check the ip of each router. make sure they are NOT the same. If your first router is 192.168.0.1, you have to change the second router ip address to 192.168.1.1. Or vice versa

2.Set the second router to Automatic configuration or for netgear select the option "NO" for "DOES YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION REQUIRES A LOGIN"

make sure everything in BASIC SETTINGS are set to Dynamic or Default settings.

3.Switch off the second router then connect the it to any of the available lan port on the first router.

4. then check internet
