That error points to a fuser problem. Replace the fuser and see if that works for you. If not then you need some add'l parts and a service tech to install and repair it for you. Hope this helps.
The M118 is a PostScript printer, which is an older (but fully functional!) protocol that allows Windows to print the correct fonts and typesetting.
In order to use this device as a printer, you will need to have the PostScript module installed in the printer, and then install the printer drivers.
Drivers can be found at this link, and support documentation at this link. The two particular support documents you'll want to review are the User Guide and the PostScript User Guide.
try to install your printer in another computer if you can install it successfully then the problem is on your laptop hard disk .There might be a bad sector on it try the scandisk of your computer then enable the automatic fix bad sectors.once it is done re install again the software of printer..good luck
This was an issue with earlier models and is usually attributed to the "USB" connector on the bottom of the control panel not being attched securely. Note: although the connector is USB, it is NOT hot swappable and will crash the machine if unplugged while the power is on.
Power off the machine. Ensure the cable is securely attached and restart the 7665. Make sure when you turn it off that it is completely off before restarting or you could corrupt the system software.
Go to Xerox.com. Click on the Support and driver section. Type in 123 in the search box. Then when it comes up, select Drivers and Downloads, then on that site you can click on Documentation and download the User and Admin Guides. That way you can have that info at your fingertip. The default code is 1111, or 11111. 4 or 5 ones.
Call, 1-800-828-5881 then follow prompts 4 then 3. They should be able to look that up and order you the proper disks. If not they will direct you to who can.
