No communication with printer tried disconnecting usb cables and power installed latest drivers unistalled lexmark software and re installed still not working

Hi,

According to your problem first check that you have installed the driver properly or reinstall the driver. Check the USB cable of the printer. Replace the cable. Turn the printer off before installing the driver. Turn it on again while the driver installation wizard will ask to connect the printer. After installation reboot the printer and system both.

Hi there,
  • Unplug the printer cable from the computer.
  • Unistall the printer drivers from Device manager and also unistall the all the printer appications
  • restart the computer
  • try to download drivers from the website
  • after installing the cannon drivers and software it will ask you to connect the printer. 
  • then you can connect the printer and print a test page.

No communications computer to printer


With the Lexmark printers communication subsystem you MUST let the driver ask for you to plug in the printer. DO NOT plug the printer into the USB port until told to do so.

To fix a fouled install:
(1) Uninstall the Lexmark drivers in Add Remove Programs
(2) Shutdown the computer
(3) Disconnect the printer from the USB port
(4) Restart the computer
(5) Run the Driver Installation software
(6) Cancel ALL attempts by windows to auto install the printer
(7) When the software asks for the printer connect it and continue

The Printer USB Port appears to have failed. Have changed out the USB cable and tried every USB port on the computer. Still the Printer does not communicate with the computer. Have uninstalled and...


does other usb devices work on computer..if yes then could be an issue with printer port.
try to disconnect the power and usb cable from the back of the printer and press and hold down the power button for 30 sec and then reconnect the cables and try again...open the backdoor and try to move the rollers in upward direction.Make sure the unit is connected directly to the walljack.
if still does not work..printer needs to be replaced.

plz download the latest and correct drivers from the manufacture website and install it, if the problem persist try by changing the usb cable and try with another usb slot

Follow these steps to resolve:
· Disconnect your USB cable from your printer.
· Uninstall all Lexmark printer drivers on your PC.
· Download the correct driver for your model and OS.
· Install the driver on your PC.

Important - Do not reconnect the USB cable until the install software prompts the question of how the printer is connected. Search the KnowledgeBase

Computer will not communicate with printer


Ckeck in control panel & se if the driver software installed. It should be listed in Add/remove programs. If it is, power up the piinter & load windows Vista update service. See if Vista has any patches for you're printer. If no, goto Lexmark & go to the driver section for you're P4350 printer software for Vista. While in Vista update, install any updates listed.

Creat a folder on you're desktop & down load the latest driver software in-to the folder you created. Uninstall any Lexmark software that might have been in add/remove programs. Install the driver software you downloaded. If all this still fails, call Lexmark since this is a new printer. The number should be in you're manul. Or you can go here for free support.
