Bose Companion 5 speakers connected to an Apple computer but no sound. following the Bose manual for Mac os set up I get to the Sound window. Looking at choice of device for sound output I am supposed to be able to see Bose usb audio as one of the options but there is only one choice - Internal speakers. how do I get the computer to recognise it is connected to the Bose speakers?
