No ink has come out onto the page

When i try to print a document in only (b/w) it functions completely normal but the page comes out blank. It runs the whole cycle but its like no ink has come out onto the page. I have refilled the cartriage and I know there is ink in it but nothing comes out. Any suggestions?

My lexmark x3650 printer will print, but the pages come out blank. did a test to see if there was no ink and the diagnostic said 40% ink is still in there.

Try this approach instead:
  1. From the printer operator panel, press Setup button.
  2. Select Maintenance.
  3. Select Clean Cartridges. Your printer will then print a test page forcing ink through the cartridge nozzles and clean them.
  4. Once the test page is complete, try to print your document again to verify that the print quality has improved.

My printer is only printer blank pages? When it prints, it runs the paper through at a rate as if it was actually putting ink onto it but than the paper just comes out blank. Help!

Check the ink cartridges for ink level - it might just be empty. If you've replaced them with new cartridges already, clean the print heads with a "Q" tip and alcohol and run the "clean-cartridge" function in the printers properties.

No ink on printed pages

Try to pull out the ink cartridges. Then after 1 minute put the cartridges on. Then it will initiate head cleaning. Just perform the head cleaning to clean clogged nozzles. Then try to print a test page.

Printer output is a blank page

hi,
* Please check with the ink level in the Catridge.
* Be sure that catridge nozzle is not dry or dirty.
* Check wheather ink nozzle is clogged/ damaged if so use rubbing alcohol to clean them.
* Try printing by replacing new catridge.

Blank pages

You might want to start by doing some general print quality troubleshooting, including printing a test page. The test page should give you an indication if you have issues with print cartridges. Also, some printers may not print at all if even one of their cartridges is empty:

Correcting Print Quality Problems

The other thing that occurred to me is that your document feeder could be pulling in more than one sheet of paper at a time, this means it would output blank sheets as well. Here's a web page that describes the problem and what to do about it:

Automatic Document Feeder Error

Hopefully the answer to your problem is available in those web pages. Good luck.

Printer won't print

I have had a similar problem to this: I have had a BJC 80 for nearly 5 years and carried it around with my laptop using Win 98 and a par - par cable. It worked beautifully and successfully - so much so that when i saw a number of ink tanks going at very cheap volume prices in PC World i picked up a lot of them. Changing to an XP meant that i had to keep on using the par to par cable via a docking station but prevented my use of it with my new laptop - so when i brought it out of retirement it gave the blank printing problems yoiu described. By checking some error messages that it expected a black cartridge (which is what was installed) i found that inthe setup the software indicated it defaulted to colour cartridges. By changing this on the computer, it still printed blank pages but by changing the cartridge to colour it sprang into life when the set up asked for colour. I tried 2 other print heads which i had (3-4 years old) but still blank paper when printing to a black cartridge. I am now awaiting a new black print head carrier to see if it makes a difference. When trying with my laptop using XP and a par - usb cable it does not work at all. I have removed the sware driver for the Canon 80 and manually installed the one for the Canon 85 but no luck in printing to par - usb at this time
