Make sure the disc (USB) is clean. Dirty and/or damaged discs can be unreadable.
If this is not the problem, your PSP isn't working right. Either get someone to repair it or return it for a new one.

hi it sounds like your laser is out of eliment the only solution is to replace it or give i a clean with a cotton but diped in nail varnish remover gently not with any force

If your PSP isn't reading
games and/or movies and the problem isn't that your trying to play
dirty, bent, or damaged UMD discs there are a number of other reasons
