sounds like you have deleted the programe that runs dvds,
go on the net and you should be able to download a free dvdplayer
if not try doing a restore to when you think it last worked.

You can try but Dish remotes have a rather limited number of possible codes so it is unlikely you will find one that works.

Try Logitech's Harmony 600 Universal remote. It costs about $80.00 Cdn but is excellent for most infrared activated TV's and DVD players. Codes are installed by the site at the point of online programming, so no need to search for codes or install them manually one-by-one.

How do I get the VCR to play on the tv? It's a Sanyo DVW-7100 DVDPlayer/VCR Combo. The DVD will play but the VCR won't show up on the TV.

This maybe too simplistic but are you sure you have the right command buttons toggled try to set the player to VCR and not dvd.
Set the player to VCR with a tape in it and press play. I hope this works for you

how is your hook up? is the dvd plugged into aux in or video in ...okay is the tv on ch 3? use remote press CH down to see if you have video/aux ch...3..2..1..video.....(if you are plug into video/aux) if you have a vcr do not disconnect...we do not wish mess anything up...
