Question about Dell Inspiron 5000 Notebook
I have windows xp installed on my dell notebook, but i have no sound. When I go to the control panel, it says no sound device, and everything is greyed out. I have tried to download different driver fix programs from
the internet, but to no avail. Please help, Thanks a million, Zeak
Okay i followed the way using everest.

Install and run the program.
click on motherboard tab on left
click on chipset
click on southbridge in right column
the southbridge is the id of the audio chip set
the audio controller will be listed
google the chipset driver or audio controller driver.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
