Question about Plumbing

Open Question

We have a single lever mono bath shower mixer PN321 (hudson reed). It is leaking around the ball joint where the tap lever is. When the lever is pulled out for put the tap on some water drips out from the joint. Can this be resolved? Janet

you make no sense. From the picture the water "mixer" is the center lever or is it a diverter valve for the shower and water nozzle below???
The knobs are for hot and cold water??

Can't regulate a delta shower.


If you have the type that you turn the handle like a clock, you have to find that perfect spot. It can be 3/4 of the way around. If you have the ball type, single lever, the rubber seats and springs under the ball should be replaced. Cost...less than $10 for the kit to do yourself.

Sounds to me the diffusor is stuck or broken in the position to allow only hot water through it.Looks to me tou have a mixer valve on it. Might have to replace it.

My Hudson Reed lift and turn mono block tap leak


There should be a retaining ring right under the handle when removed. The stem of the ball runs up through the middle. Tighten this retaining ring and it should stop the leak.
