Of course your backspace button only deletes one letter unless you press the backspace button for a long time and it still deletes one letter. There is something wrong with your keyboard.

So does mine....if you want to delete entire sentences or paragraphs, click and hold your mouse left button and slide the cursor across what you want to delete...when it is highlighted, either just type over it or hit the delete key.
