Is there a relay for the heat, sometimes there is heat sometimes not. one heater hose hot one warm. or is the heater coil clogged

Probably the heater core. I backflushed my Dodge Dakota and that fixed the problem. Determine which hose is the supply and the rerurn hose. Take them both loose and back flush with your outside hose pipe. Do NOT turn the hose on full blast you could damage the heater core. I opened my hose bibe 1 turn open after fitting a connection to the heater hose. I back flushed, then forward flushed and back flushed a 2nd time. I saw it done on You Tube. Fixed my Dodge! Blows HOT air now!!

My Lars LX400N-L has a serice satating EXT SW/1 fuisable link is open?? What can i do to fix that before people come over today?

Since it is likely dark already, if you haven't fixed it yet you will need to fix it before the next party. There are two issues, finding a new fusable link and figuring out why your fusable link opened. If I am correct, the fusable link opens when heat from the heater goes past it instead of out the exhaust vent. For this reason, if you only replace the fusable link it will also open when heating unless whatever causes it to open is not repaired also.

I hope this helps.

The heater on my 2004 mercury mountaineer does not work. When turning the dial from ac to heat, cold air blows out while a sound like a door opening and shutting is heard.

there is a vacuum ran valve on your heater hoses goin in to your heater core on the fire wall, they tend to get stuck shut n dont open to let hot anti freeze in the heater core, so cold air right, qwik fix is find the valve on heater core inlet and wire tie it open so antifreeze circulates no matter what, this is known on ford explorers. pretty much same truck.

I have a 2001 Audi Quattro 2.8 and my heater is blowing out cold air how can I fix this problem?

The cardboard in front of the radiator is only good if the problem is an open thermostat. If the problem is a bad heater control valve, then blocking the radiator could over heat the engine. I suggest comparing how hot the radiator hose feels, as compared to the heater hose. Watch the heater valve when you operate the control knob, to see if it is opening and closing properly.

99 Ford Explorer---Heater problem--No hot air?

heater control valve..heater core clogged ..circulation to heater control valve weak restricted or closed..do a radiator flush and fill thoroughly backflushing the heater lines with heater open all the way...if no smell or leaks inside cabin passenger area or losing coolant you should fix teh problem... other issue could be control head not opening blend doors properly
