Find the reset hole on the side of the player, below the power/hold switch, push it with a paper clip or something of that size.

If that doesn't work, wait for the battery to die completely, then charge and turn it back on.

That should take it out of recovery mode

For the Sansa E260 try this:

connect to your PC and press and hold the power/menu button for about 30 secs. That should reset it.. (I don't think any data is lost, but not too sure)

Macbook Air trackpad moving by itself

Boot the computer into recovery mode and see if the track pad is still moving around by itself.

Hold down the OPTION key when turning on the computer, and select the Recovery icon to boot into recovery mode.

Here is a link that will guide you throw it in detail How to Boot Into Lions Recovery Mode

The purpose of booting into recovery mode is to see if the track pad is still acting up. If the track pad is operating normal in recovery mode, then it might indicate an issue with your operating system. If the trackpad is still having issues in recovery mode, it would indicate that your trackpad issue is a hardware issue and it will require you to take it into Apple for further diagnosis.

Hope this helps!

Phone 4s will not shut off, keeps rebooting

You will want to try to put the device into recovery mode and perform a restore. You can follow Apple troubleshooting article HT1808 to walk you through putting the device into recovery mode. NOTE: Check for any backups before you put device into recovery mode as you will not be able to backup once it is in recovery mode. If the device has been jailbroken and recovery mode does not fix the issue the hardware has been damaged by corruption and should be replaced.

How to Fix an iPod Touch Stuck in Recovery Mode With a Free Program
An iPod Touch's "Recovery Mode" is for alleviating major operating system issues. Recovery Mode rolls back your iPod's operating system, stripping problematic updates and downloads from the unit. The goal of this total system recovery is to revert the iPod to a stable, usable version. Before you use Recovery Mode, exhaust other troubleshooting methods. In some cases, Recovery Mode is triggered automatically after a failed system update or system restore. When it goes into Recovery Mode automatically, you cannot use your iPod until you complete the recovery process. You can get your iPod Touch out of Recovery Mode using Apple's free iTunes software.

Things You'll Need
-Apple iTunes-USB cable

1 Turn on your computer and open iTunes. If you are prompted to download any new iTunes updates, install the updates before proceeding.
2 Plug an iPod USB cable into your computer. Do not plug the other end into your iPod Touch yet.
3 Turn off your iPod Touch. If the iPod Touch is already shut down, skip this step.
4 Press and hold the Home button on your iPod Touch, and plug the other end of the USB cable into your iPod Touch.
5 Release the Home button after you see a white USB icon and the iTunes logo appear on your iPod Touch's screen. At this time, a pop-up should appear on your computer screen, explaining that the software has detected an iPod in Recovery Mode.
6 Click "OK."
7 Click on the iPod Touch from underneath the "Devices" heading on the left-hand side of your screen.
8 Click on the "Home" tab, and then click "Restore." Once it's restored, your iPod Touch goes out of Recovery Mode and you can start using it again. The restoration process takes a few minutes. Do not disconnect your iPod Touch until a prompt appears, letting you know the system restored successfully.

Recovery mode

Recovery mode won't help you unless you have the recovery files to go with it. Most likely you will need to re-install the firmware on to the device. Download this "recovery tool" from the SanDisk website and run it with your device connected in recovery mode. Make sure you select "format" when prompted. Tool is here; Recovery mode - power off device. Slide "hold" switch into hold position. Press and hold "record" button and then connect to PC.(keep record button pressed until after connected to pc) Hope this helps.
