Yes, it seems to be a defect in the camera. Leica is servicing them free of charge (I just called them). Send your camera to: 1 Pearl Ct. Unit A, Allendale, NJ 07401 - Include a note discribing the problem. Leica (800)222-0118

Lcd monitor is cracked and displays nothing. Should I just junk the whole thing or can i replace the lcd monitor cheaply???

No need to junk the whole thing just contact your nearest Authorized Olympus service center and they can fix the LCD screen with a genuine one in less than 150 USD.PLEASE DON'T TRY TO OPEN IT OR REPAIR BY YOURSELF as it can can cause severe damage to high end mechanics.

I dropped my z885 - now I have black screen and static. Fix or junk?

They are retailing for mid $200's. Even with either a LCD replacement (~$130) or Lens Assembly replacement ($110), it would be cheaper to repair than replace. Tough call though.

Screen reads ERR CF, I think I can see a broken card reader pin broke off. Camera purchased 9/2007. Worth fixing or option of up grade.

This was a $1500 camera with the kit lens. It's certainly worth fixing if you still love it. If you secretly want a brand new camera, then "I would throw out this piece of junk";) Or, get the new camera and get this one fixed for a back-up.

What you have is a darfon V144 board (junk). it's a simple fix if you know how to use some basic tools and a soldering iron. Get an led (i used digikey's PN: L10041-ND) and solder it from pin 10 to pin 16 on the OZ960 chip on the inverter board. If you need the chip layout type "OZ960 pdf" in google. Hope this helps.

Syntax olevia lt32hv 32 inch lcd tv. power surge now no picture

The electronics are known to go bad with these TV's, and I'm looking to buy someone's junk TV that has a good screen, rather than have to throw it out.
(So if anyone is out there with a 532-B12 that isn't working, send me a message!)

Yours might be worth fixing - however I know sadly that parts are nearly impossible to get for these TV's, and the manufacturer is virtually impossible to contact.
If you DO manage to contact anyone (manufacturer or otherwise) who can source or supply parts, PLEASE do let me know - it's been nearly impossible for me, and I want to replace my cracked screen in my TV.
If you can't, please let me know - I'll gladly give you a few bucks at least to salvage the screen from your TV, to transplant into mine, rather than turning it into junk on your curb.

My LCD Screen is not turning on

there is no SIMPLE solution unfortunately...
its probably not so great that the LCD has no problem as it makes it harder for professionals to fix it as it is probably a circuit problem.
its still worth a shot if you want to spend the money to fix it but its probably easier to just buy a new one.

Canon showing black screen

needs to go in to a camera shop for repair, either the shutter is broken in the lens or the CCD is bad...could be more than that but, It would have to get disassembled to determine that. I work on Olympus cameras and have found that sometines it's easier to let someone with a box of spare parts fix it...
