    I just got a Wii. I have a tv/dvd combo unit. There are 3 input section on the back. The TV's - DVD cables are plugged into input 1. I have tried plugging the Wii into all three. It seems to work just fine in Input 1 and 2 and not at all in input 3. However, I have yet to see any color. Have I hooked the calbes up incorrectly? What should I do to get color on my Wii?

The cable colors have to match the tv ones if you have different colors on cables then look for the label on the cables saying video or audio (red)=audio (white)=other audio (yellow)=video EXAMPLE if the cable colors are different than the tv then if the label on the cables say video and the color is blue etc. then you have to put it on the yellow putin on the tv no matter the color. If it dosent work then try holding the cables in many angles try pulling them or anything unlit they work get something to hold them up if that dosent work then i think you should buy new cables. We haven't used our wii a few months and now the color is so bright we can't play it. Our our game systems and our regular tv color settings are fine though. What can we do to fix this?

This is generally a setting limited to the television itself. Most TV's these days permit varied settings from one input device to the next. Therefore, every other device can appear the same while another may not. My guess would be that someone inadvertently modified the settings while the system was off. If they were only looking at a black screen, then the "brightness" would not be so apparent as it increased.

I recommend resetting the default video settings for your AV input connection (unless the Wii is input via another method).

We have a Philips flat screen tv model# 26HFL5830D/27. When I am plugging the wii and the DVD player only I see is white /black screen. Tv works fine and the color is fine, just the game and the playe

One thing you could try is a different cable between the wii and the TV, also if your TV has multiple spots to plug in you should try plugging in to a different spot.

My Wii isn't in color.

YOU SHOULD CHECK YOUR RCA CONNECTIONS, THERE IS NO REASON YOU SHOULDNT HAVE COLOR. MAKE SURE THEY ARE COLOR CODED PROPERLY ON THE BACK OF THE TV.

My wii and Netflex is in black and white.

Access your TV's menu screen:
- be sure that your TV screen is expecting input from "AV" or "Video" - if you have the "S-Video" input setting selected, change it to "AV" or "Video"
This should bring the color back to your Wii experience.

Wii help

Hello :

1:Insert the AV Multi Out plug on the Wii AV Cable into the AV Multi Out connector on the back of the console.
2:

Insert the RCA plugs on the Wii AV Cable into the input connectors on the TV. Plug the colored connectors into the following inputs:

Yellow = Video Input
White = Audio Input Left (or Mono)
Red = Audio Input Right

3:Once the cables are inserted and the Wii is powered on, you must find the Input Select for your TV to view the game (it is likely not going to be seen on Channel 3 or 4). Typically this is found by pressing the TV/Video button on the Television's front panel or remote control. If you have more than one input channel, keep pressing TV/Video until you see the display from the Wii.
If you do not have a TV/Video button, then the input could be labeled something different. Some other common input selects to look for on the TV or remote are: Input, Input Select, EXT, AUX, or a channel such as 00 or 99.

I hope this will help .

Setting up my wii with my trutech tv

The Wii comes with standard AV jacks. Look for the female plug ends on your television that match the colors of the Wii's AV jacks, red, yellow, and white. Plug them in. Turn on TV and Wii. Use the input function of the TV to select the AV input (usually says "game", "video", or "input"). Play Wii.

Insert game disk and horizontal lines move fast on screen ???????

Sounds like your TV has multiple video inputs. Make sure the TV is set to the right channel or input. I know on ours if I hit the TV-input button on the tv remote I can change from inputs like s-video, video, cable etc and the Wii only displays properly on one of them.

Plug in the wii system and everything comes in black and white

Try plugging it into another scart socket, this sometimes happens when a tv does not support 60hz. the result is a screen that has no colour. You could try just plugging it onto the seperate av inputs. Most tv's these days have one scart that will work ok and in colour.
