It uses the same power as used by the PC, NEMA5-15P to IEC C13.

Hi,

First make sure that all the cords are connected properly from the back of the CPU to your Monitor.I suggest you to unplug all the cords of the CPU and then plug them back in after 10min. and make sure they are all connected tightly.Next check if the power cord connected to the Monitor is attached tightly.

If you still face the problem then you will have to replace it with a new power cord whih connects the CPU to your Monitor. It is black in colour.

My pc lights and fans work, but the screen shows nothing.

Check everything you need to check.

Follow the following tips and guides.

  1. Check if your computer monitor is tightly connected or rather properly connected to the CPU.
  2. If it is connected properly but still doesn't functions, try plugging another monitor and see if it lights and works.
  3. If the other Monitor runs then the old monitor is your problem. (maybe the problem is the cables or the tube itself.
  4. As for me, i advice you to use a monitor which gets its power from the CPU. (the power cord of your Monitor is not a plug but rather a connection from Monitor to CPU.)
If you have other questions and concerns regarding your problem and the guide shown above, feel free to update this post.

If you also need some drivers, kindly update me.

most monitors use the standard 3 pin connector just like desktop computers.

If it uses something different it will most likely be a 2 pin figure 8 shaped style or a single male connector that comes from a brick.

3years before the power supply of my cpu was burned but when i take a look at my cpu now,i dont see anything that was burned, but i dont see anything appeared on my monitor like what happen 3years...

The simple thing to do is unplug the pc and if you have a power supply tester (about $25 for a simple one) take the large plug going into *********** board and plug that into the tester then re connect the power cord to your pc, the tester will tell you if the power supply is bad or not. If it is bad you could pick up a new one for about $$30-$50. There's about 4 screws that hold it in place from the outside of the pc, and you'll have to unplug all the components that it's connected to inside the pc and motherboard. Not very complicated, but can be intimidating the first time. If you think it's the monitor, try plugging another monitor into you pc or taking your monitor to another pc and trying it there.

Epson Stylus C59 2 years old, hardly ever used, turned it on for a few minutes then turned it off. Tried to turn it on again but won't. Checked plugs, connections, everything but no response. Any quick...

The connection between the power on button and the power supply is a tenuous one at best. It is similar to modern PCs where pressing the power button doesn't turn the power off but instead tells the CPU to turn the power off. Obviously, if the CPU is hung up or in a snit, it can't or won't do it.

Anyway, one time I hit the button too many times, trying to power the printer off, about a year ago and it did, but after that it would not turn the power back on. I let the printer stand around with the power cord and the USB cable unplugged for about a month, waiting to save up money for a replacement R800. I got ready to order the new printer and, in frustration, plugged the power cord and USB cord back in and pressed the power button firmly (almost enough to break the button, also in frustration) and, ZAP, the printer came on and has worked since then. I think possibly the power supply "got confused" somehow.

So I guess that time heals all wounds.

I think it would get power through the Moniter so I don't think you need a power cord for the CPU. Hope this helped =)
