Hi there

  • Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
  • 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
  • 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
  • 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
  • 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
  • 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

THIS WILL MAKE YOU LOOSE ALL FILES!!!
    (even password)
Take the memorycard out of the phone and,
    put it in a computer.Use filesystem FAT-32
    to reformat your memorycard.
Now the card will work again!
No password, No files will be left after a

My lg vu wont turn on

If you have a memory card installed, try removing it and then reseating the battery. If the problem goes away it is something to do with the format of the memory card. There are some solutions out on the internet: http://www.lg-vu.com/index.php?action=printpage;topic=2662.0 but it seems unclear as to effectively fix the problem. It seems a clean fat32 format is critical for the memory card but there by other issues. Hopefully LG will acknowledge and fix this soon.

Memory card format for lg vu 920

Usually to format a disk, memory card; anything, you need to be plugged into a computer.
Which requires a USB cable for your phone, or a card reader. If you don't already have a USB cable, it's usually easier to come across a card reader simply because everybody uses them. With a USB cable, most stores don't carry them and have to order, because it's specific for a phone.
Now if you have a USB Cable or a card reader already, plug it into your computer. (With the phone, make sure the "USB Connectivity" settings are set to "Removable Disk". This way, it won't read the phone's memory, just the memory card.)
Once the memory card is detected, right click on it, and there should be an option that says "Format". Click it. You should get a popup asking if you're sure or not. Obviously you're serious about formatting the card, so click yes.
There's a check box for "Quick Format". It's a sort of way of half-assed formatting; it's faster, but not as thorough. Whether or not you do that is up to you.
