1996 Saturn SL, Heater fan runs fine but no heat. Starts with a tad of heat then blows cold. Any ideas?

The plenum may be cracked, check for air blowing out where it should not, or the blender door is not opening, a cable sheath may have popped loose, or the heater core itself is clogged with leaf debris blocking air flow..

My heat won't get hot on my acura cl 3.2 2003. It will blow but not heat. A/C works fine. What happened?

turn the heat knob all the way to hot (highest) setting and when it starts blowing heat you can turn it down to a comfortable temperature
At least that's how mine works

Buzzing sound when aux heat comes on

Sounds like it could be a effiency function to warn you that the heat elements are on. Check your thermostat manual and see if you can turn this feature off. If this is not a feature then the thermostat may be wired wrong or something in the circuit may be trying to short out.

Once i start my car and turn on the heat, it starts blowing in cold air until i get on the road and accelerate more, then the heat starts coming. but once the heat starts it only lasts about two minutes...

Hi Jens,

Two things are happening.

The first is normal. Your heater gets its heat from the coolant ciculating in your engine. In order for it to work, the coolant needs time to heat up a bit. This is true of just about every vehicle.

When it gets cold again is the puzzler.

My advice is to check the coolant level in the radiator.

ONLY when the engine has cooled.

If the level is down, there can be times when there isn't enough water to cool the engine, fill the radiator and the heater core. The result is the heater blows cold air and the engine runs hotter than normal.

So check the coolant. Open the cap. Start the engine and top it off.

Then see if there is a change.

Best regards,
Mike
