Question about Kenmore 24032\24036 Top Load Washer
My washer fills but doesn't start the wash cycle
It's probably a bad door switch. Designed to prevent you from losing an arn. Check to make sure the pin on the door makes contact and depresses the switch on the body of the washer. Usually located in right rear cornerof top

Hello Carroll Mcknight - Is the washer making a humming noise? If so, either the drainage hose/pump is clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the unit may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Contact a professional to assist with the repairs and to move forward accurately.

If the cycle won't complete then either it's a problem with the timer or a cold-water supply problem:-
If your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.
It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water.
