If you have the Sansa firmware upgrader installed, any firmware upgrades will cause all songs on the player to be lost. There are other reasons, but this is the most common.

Can't catagorize the music into files or playlists....?

okay, once you downloaded the file via Frostwire...you tag the file (name of track, artist, trk #, album name, genre and year) right...all this is in the folder where you downloaded...not using windows media.......lets skip that and go straight to the mp3 player...yep copy/paste or click/drag to mp3 from the PC...now your files are already tag ...this should help sort the file by any catagory you want to........

Will not play music continuously.PLay 1 artist then stops.

This is not a problem with the iPod. it's supposed to do that, probably to save batt life if you fall asleep or something :S.
If you want everything on your iPod to play continuously then select the shuffle songs option from the main menu (should be there by default).

Alternatively you could create a playlist of all the artists you want to hear by highlighting them and holding down the center button for about a second then go to playlists and it will be listed as on the go. go into this, save it and play.

Files in Iriver H10 not appearing in music.

try this...

connect your h10 to the pc using the ums trick with the usb connection..
For 20 GB MTP Models
  • Make sure your H10 is turned off and disconnected from the computer.
  • Poke the "reset" button with a paperclip.
  • Turn on the hold switch (so that you don't accidentally turn the H10 on all the way).
  • Plug the H10 into your computer.
  • Turn on the H10 while holding the "O" button.
  • You will see the message "Emergency Connection" if you have done everything correctly. You can now let go of the "O" button.
download and run EASYh10 software (free playlist maker). It will scan the files in your music folder and build/save a playlist to your h10.
disconnect player and give it a try...

Every time I turn on my iriver h10 it freezes on the artists and won't go anywhere. How do I fix this ? resetting doesn't help

not sure what's wrong but try this..

hook up your h10 via the ums trick...
The UMS trick is a great thing to know how to do. With it, you can transfer music, or treat your H10 as a harddrive to put anything you want on.
The UMS trick will also allow you to use your H10 with virtually any OS.
For 5/6 GB MTP Models
  • Make sure your H10 is turned off and disconnected from the computer.
  • Take out the battery, wait a second, and put the battery back in.
  • Turn on the hold switch (so that you don't accidentally turn the H10 on all the way).
  • Plug the H10 into your computer.
  • Turn on the H10 while holding the "O" button.
  • You will see the message "UMS Mode" if you have done everything correctly. You can now let go of the "O" button.
For UMS Models UMS models do not need this trick because they are always in UMS mode!

download and run the free playlist maker software called EASYh10. It will scan the music files on the h10 music folder and save a new playlist to your player.

Playlist Problem

There is no firmware to fix this issue. I pored through the documentation, and there is nothing that says it will max at 400 songs. Make sure the playlist was loaded in msc mode - the manual suggests it - and that all of the songs are in the correct format. It may be an endemic limit of the unit.

Samsung K3 mp3 player

To erase a music file, you must plug the K3 into the computer, and when a window pops up that says "Open in Folder", "Open with Media Player", etc. Choose "Open in Folder" then go to "Internal Storage", then choose "Music". From there, you can delete by artist, or if you click on a folder that has an artist's name for the title, you can erase by album. From there you can erase by track by double clicking on an album folder.
To erase, right click the folder you wish to delete, and select "Delete".
