New unit just won't work - keeps saying to insert brewer unit

Hi,
I have checked all of this and all is mounted correctly. I have turned off, pulled the plug out of the wall socket and then reconnected. It shows it is self diagnosing and then goes to please wait.... and just sits there and does nothing else. If after more than hour, I hit the power button, it then says its heating up, which it does and runs some hot water out which all looks normal, then it makes a few noises and gets back to insert brewer unit and stops.

I think I haved landed a "dud" and will need to get it replaced unless there is just some small thing I have overlooked!

EAM3500 I get the same message--"insert brewing unit"  after it makes a loud buzzing/grinding noise.  I have taken everything apart, and cleaned it, etc to no avail.  Delonghi Customer service is less than optimal, Onlyrecommended that I send it to some rude guy in NY to fix.  I am appalled that my $1500 coffee maker is broken 2 weeks after warranty expired.

    I have exactly same problem

From initial start up after choosing language etc - instead of the final "turning off please wait" it went straight into wanting to grind beans, loud noise then briefly displayed "ground too fine.." error message.

I turned it off but ever since machine demands to have "brewer unit" inserted as you described

Sounds like your Steam Generator heating element has blown. You need to check it with a multi-meter for continuity. best to have it repaired by a service agent as they will also service the hiolw machine It wiol cost around $150 all up inlcuding labour and parts

These machines seem to respond to what their CS dept call "priming the pump." Turn on machine and after it has warmed up, turn the hot water valve or about 30-45 seconds. Shut it off and after a pause 30 seconds, repeat this process 2 additional times. Do the same 3 cycles in the steam mode. ( hit the steam button for frothing) Check openings  where coffee comes out with a small wire, ect., to make sure they are clear. It should work.

My Saeco Royal Professional says coffee beans empty although it is full

hi,
there is a small measuring device between the grinder and the brewer, that measures grind coffee flowing into the brewer. the brewer is the removable part on the right side of the machine.
it looks like that the measuring device is clocked or in worse case broken!.
my suggestion:
1.open the door on the right side
2. remove carefully the brewer/brew unit
3. clean it under warm running water
4. clean out the surrounding area, coffee pan etc.
5. check the measuring device for clocked coffee. it is square, has a small flap and easy to access with the door open. take a soft brush and clean the area, there might be a lot of ground coffee!
6. carefully re-insert the brewer acc. to manual, do not force in place.
7. close the door and use the unit.
you might also remove all beans and clean the burrs, the ground coffee outlet and check that it is free and not clocked as well. otherwise no ground-coffee will reach the measuring device!
good luck!

I have an LHD6594EBL dehumidifier that won't run and it keeps saying the bucket is full but the bucket is empty, we have a hose attached and don't use the bucket,

Sue, if you haven't noticed any water draining from the hose recently, it may be that the hose connection and tubing of the unit are clogged and the drained water pressure is causing the unit to show "Bucket Full." Also, if the bucket is not properly in place, whether you use the drain hose or not, it will cause the unit to stop functioning. You know how to correct that, so I won't go into detail on that issue.

To unclog the drain, you will need an 18" long, plastic Zip Tie or something similar (NO wire coat hangers though) that will fit into the hose connection. TURN THE UNIT OFF AND UNPLUG IT. Then carefully insert the Zip Tie and continue to push it in until you reach the bend in the tubing. You will have to carefully work it past this bend, until it either bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie. Now, while rotating it, slowly pull it out and be prepared for some water to follow.

Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem.

Hi I have a bunn commercial brewer. its a sh dbc brewer. the brewer keeps heating the water all thw way to 225 degrees and keeps going.

Sounds like the thermostat needs to be replaced adjusted or the probe to the thermostat is covered in scale, and it cannot read the temp correctly. Remove top panel and check probe, if fine no buildup, follow probe line to thermostat and set to a lower setting, if same problem replace thermostat.

I can't get the rod that connects the key lock and door latch in the right position to work correctly.

  • Disconnect the negative battery cable with the proper size wrench and place away from the battery.

Insert the key into the ignition lock cylinder and turn the key to the run position.
  • 2 Remove the steering column cover on a tilt steering wheel model by pressing the upper and lower section of the cover together and pulling free from the mounting plate. Remove the steering column covers on a non tilt steering wheel model by using a Philips screwdriver and unscrewing the mounting screws.
  • 3 Disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition switch by lifting up on the release tab and pulling.

Press the ignition switch actuator pin by pushing a small screw driver into the key lock cylinder, while doing this pull the ignition switch out of the ignition switch housing.
  • Installation
  • 1 Insert the new key into the new ignition switch and turn the key to the run position. Insert the new ignition switch into the ignition switch housing. Wiggle the switch back and forth until the actuator pin mounting hole is aligned and falls into place.
  • 2 Install the electrical connector back into the connector housing by pressing it in with your hands.
  • 3 Place the steering column covers back onto the non tilt steering wheel and insert mounting screws. Tighten screws using a Philips screwdriver. Place the steering column covers over the tilt steering wheel and press the upper and lower portion together to snap covers back into the mounting plate.
  • 4 Pull on the ignition key to ensure switch is locked into place. Turn key to the "off" position and remove the key. Insert the key and start the vehicle.

  • hope this helps you

No power up test when turned on after cleaning of the brewer; I suspect brewer out of sync. Spent 30 minutes greasing & cleaning to get everything in proper mode but still no good. Water does not seems...

hey just manually pull down brew group internals till neutral reached push waste flap in to lock position seen on rear tab and leave brew group unit and water tray / waste bucket out, place a small magent / metal on bottom rear left of inside panel ( check waste unit for small metal tab and align magnet on rear where this sits, at the same time then place small magnet where door tab hits plastic sensor in machine roof then power off and on machine resets to neutral remove magnets insert brew group and waste trays and u should be done. WARNING !! DO NOT ATTEMPT WITH BREW GROUP IN PLACE KEEP RESETTING MACHINE IF YOU FAIL AS IT SETS A FAULT AND WILL ENDLESSLY SPIN DRIVE
