Yes , this is an alignment problem

This sounds as the the paper is not being guided properly by the guide roller or transfer guides. May need cleaning or replacement is needed. \

Hello!

There is usually additional HP software provided on the CD the printer came with which which is capable of indicating  the ammount of toner left int he cartridge.
If no such software is provided, then you can only tell when your toner level is low by a flashing light on the printer itself.

Printer Problem

1. Press CANCEL JOB to clear the print job from the printer memory.
2. Turn the printer off, and then turn the printer on.
3. Try printing a job from a different software application. If the job prints, go back to the first application and try printing a different file. (If the message only appears with a certain software application or print job, contact the software vendor for assistance.)
4. If the message persists with different software applications and print jobs, disconnect all cables to the printer that connect it to the network or printer.
5. Turn the printer off.
6. Remove all memory DIMMs or third-party DIMMs from the printer. (Do not remove the firmware DIMM in the lowest DIMM slot.)
7. Remove all EIO devices from the printer.
8. Turn the printer on.
9. If the error no longer exists, install each DIMM and EIO device one at a time, making sure to turn the printer off and back on as you install each device.
10. Replace a DIMM or EIO device if you determine that it causes the error.
11. Remember to reconnect all cables that connect the printer to the network or computer.
12. If the error persists, replace the firmware DIMM.
13. Replace the formatter.

After replacing my color cartridge my printer won't print in color. but it will copy color pages perfectly.


When you go to print from IE check the prefrences and see if it is set to Monochrome. It should be under the Advanced tab.

Printer problem


I don't know how things work on a Mac, but if you're on a Windows based system, make sure the printer driver is installed on BOTH machines.

Hi,
try uninstalling any software relating to the printer.
shutdown the computer. Remove any printer to computer cables. Re-boot ( startup ) the computer.
let it set itself up. then shutdown.
turn off the power to computer, put your printer cable back in, as if you were installing it for the first time.
the computer should have found new hardware ( your printer ) And ask for a driver. ensure your HP disk is in the drive, and ask to search Drive D:- Or E:- wherever your CD is located.
If it,s already got the latest drivers installed, i would,nt worry unless your printers not functioning correctly.
