Mark iii 5D will not turn on- battery is fully charged. I have tried taking the memory card out, battery out, lens off, etc and then replacing all of the above and restarting, but nothing happens.????...

And you are sure the fully charged battery also has enough capacity to power the camera? or it only reached a certain voltage so the charger says it is charged?
Also did check the contacts on the battery and in the camera?
Make sure the battery has enough power, by measuring the voltage with a multi meter. The voltage should be higher than what is printed on the battery.

Try Energizer Ultimate Lithium. If it still won't last for a long time, then there is definitely something wrong with your camera and you need to service it.

I have a Olympus FE 4000. I purchased it this past year and it worked fine for a while but all of a sudden my camera shut down. I though the battery simply needed charging so i charged it. when i put it...

Yes, it's possible. Rechargeable batteries don't last forever. Lithium batteries in particular can fail early if they are allowed to become totally discharged.

The best way to proceed is to buy a new battery, then try to charge it. If it charges and the camera works, problem solved.

If it doesn't charge, then you will need a new charger. The battery will not be wasted though, as it is always handy to have a spare.

If having bought both new battery and new charger you camera still won't work, then you will have to look into your warranty or return it to the shop- however that works in your country.

It is possible to check the voltage of the battery with a meter (you can buy a general purpose multi-meter cheaply) but this takes a modicum of skill and interpretation. Even a run down battery may show some voltage on a meter, as it doesn't draw much current.

Turn ignition on,nothing happens, battery is fully charged.

How do you know battery is fully charged?? Do you have a load tester or at least a volt meter to test it?? Seriously, the battery may appear to be charged and show 12-13Volts on a meter, but fail when placed under load.

Check also the bolts on the battery terminals.... they may be loose.

Do you get any display on the dash? EWS error??

Make sure the battery contacts are clean. The rechargable batteries looses their charge even when they are not in use. It is important to fully charge the first time the rechargable batteries.
