Lol. I like cfrieckie's idea of solving your problem. There is actually no reset so far for this printer.. My suggestion is to clean the contact of the cartridge and the terminal in the printer using a cotton bud moistened with alcohol (But be careful not to break one). This dirt or dried ink may prevent proper detection of the cartridge. I also read that if you are able to initialize your printer and will be able to command it to print, wait for the error to come out, then press the cancel to print. This somehow reset the printer. If you try this it might work...

Kodak esp 5210 wont print black

I figured it out. If you are low on (25%) on either colors or black, then it won't print. Even if you load a new black cartridge and it reads as 100% black, it won't print because it will only print when BOTH cartridges have been replaced and reads 100%.
Same thing happens reversed with color being replaced.
So basically, ALL printers short you 25% ink and FORCE you to buy their ink more often. Kodak is no exception.
I have 100% black and 25% color and a BW only needed text paper won't print. I been through this before. *facepalm*

I was recently given a 5300 all-in-one printer.I want to replace the ink cartridges. I bought ink(kodak) and want to make sure it is correct before I open the box. I bought an ink combo pack for an...

You got it right - the Kodak EasyShare 5300 All-in-One uses 10 series Kodak cartridges, and
since your box says 10B+10C, it has (2) 10-series cartridges in it - one 10-series Black (10B), and
one 10-series Color cartridge (the 10C).

The 10 Series Ink cartridges are compatible with:
EasyShare 5000 series (your All-in-One belongs here)
ESP 3/5/7/9
ESP 3200/5200/7200/9200 Series
ESP Office 4100/6100

Just replaced both ink cartridges on Kodak ESP 3. Will not recognize color cartridge. Both are genuine Kodak cartridges. Red light for color cartridge just keeps blinking. Have tried unplugging....

silly question, you remembered to remove the plastic film off the connectors right? i realize you did 2 different cartridges but hey sometimes thing get messed up lol. it may be a faulty cartridge, you should be able to return it if that's the case. the only way to know for sure is to take it back and get a different one. if that's the case problem solved, you could always power down the printer completely after installing the cartridges and rebooting it

My Kodak printer ESP3 is not printing. It keeps flashing over the 3 color tear drops (red, green, purple). Ive powered it on and off several of times as well as checking the cords.

This 3 color drop flashed when the color ink cartridge needs to be replaced.

Try to use a new color ink cartridge > If no go, call Kodak they will replace the color ink > If no go > Call Kodak and this time they will replace the printer

If the cartridges were out of the printer in the open air, they might have gone dry. Try to reseat cartridges 2-3 times,if isssue persists, get a new colour ink as Kodka will certainly not replace the ink for you.
