Question about Toshiba Satellite A55-S1063 Notebook

1 Answer

I have a toshiba satellite a55-s1063 laptop computer. How do I determine if my battery needs replacing or other problem? My computer can be plugged in charging for hours, but I only get max of 15 minutes of working time when not plugged into another power source. Also, when pricing replacement batteries, prices vary from $35 to $129- how do I buy a good deal without being ripped off by damaged goods or overpricing?

Hello,

Yes your battery needs replacing, I guess you have had the computer for a couple of years or so.
Check out a dealer on Ebay with a good feedback rating and try one of the cheaper batteries, if it lasts a year then its a good deal, with most batteries if you get two years you have done well.

I need to replace the dc jack in my toshiba A55-S1063 (satellite) but i'm not sure of the pin size before i place my order

Your laptop uses a jack already soldered to a cable with socket. Ebay has them for sale for around 33 bucks. All you have to do is strip the laptop down to the board, unplug the socket lift the jack out and plug the new cable in. Below is the item number on ebay, just put this number in the search box and it will show you the part and you can contact the store directly. Good luck.
