On my 2004 lancer es the air conditioning works ice cold intermittenly then goes warm. I turn it off and it will come back on cold and work for a while longer. Ihave had the system checked and it is serviced to its proper level. the temp knob is a little stiff yet it does go max a/c to hot. this just started happening, I was thinking the blower motor resistor pack yet i don' have an idea where it is!!

I just switched out my compressor today after over a year of my air doing this until it finally went out....(it only blew hot air). Replacing the compressor seemed to work. it is pricey though. dealership charges and arm and a leg. (i think the quoted the compressor at like 1000 not including labor.) my knobs are also messing up, but the one that switched from regular air to defrost. they only sell the knobs in a pack of 3 and are charging 300 for that....but i say good luck!!! its pricey...they shoulda recalled the cars. this is a very common problem i have been seeing. all they wanna do is make money off of it.
anyways the new compressor seems to be working.

I have a 2004 lancer Es when I turn the aircon on after 15 minutes of driving I cant change the gears the aircon works fine but renders the gears useless and have to turn it off to continue to drive

There is no relationship between the air conditioning system and the gear box in the vehicle.

The engine operates the aircon compressor via the serpentine belt from the crankshaft pulley and if the aircon is operating normally the aircom compressor will not be faulty either.

If you are having problems with the gearbox it has nothing to do with the aircon system. The issue will be with the gearbox itself.

My toyota corollas (2004 LE) a/c blows out cold air for 10 min and then starts blowing out warm/hot air. Filled up freon but it did not work.

Sounds like your HAVC pressure switch is going out cutting off prematurely or the system is overcharged and shutting off to prevent damage.

My lancer 2004 when I start the the engne the fan is running right away even the radiator is still cold and when the engine is turned of the fan is still running for aobut 3 to 5 seconds before it finally...

engine thermostat is a triggering devise to make the fan's work. seconds before it stop when the engine is off, normal for the engine high temperature but it's sign abnormality in the system. fans also runs when the air conditioning unit is "on" to keep the engine operating temperature for its additional load from the unit. need to check if the air conditioning is in "on" position, especially the engine thermostat it may be stuck.

2004 Dodge Grand caravan, heater will blow warm air for about 30 seconds. The air then goes cold.

How are your fluid levels? Low coolant flow can cause this. Does the heat go out intermittenly? i.e. when your idle will it go cold and then when you drive away does it get warm again. Could be a few things but, easiest is to make sure your coolant is at proper levels. If that all good try replacing the thermostat.

My 2004 Z71 Suburban rear air blowzs warm sometimes. It starts out cold then all of a sudden it blows warm/hot. We turn off the rear air for a couple of minutes and then back on, it will blow cold again...

sounds like you have a leak in the system and have air that has entered into the system.
best to have it serviced by a shop, the system will need to be inspected to find the leak and then evacuated. part replaced and refilled.
leak detector will be okay

Do NOT use the cans of refrigerant with sealer in it.
and do not let the shop put a sealer in it, in the long run this will cost you the replacement of the whole a/c system.

Air-conditioning

Low refrigerant charge or a sticking blender door. Check the suction line for temperature. A cold tube means that the charge is fine.

Intermitten AirConditioning

Sounds like there is either

1. Too much freon in there

or

2. Not enough freon in there.

Freon (R) being freon or low CFC equivalent.

Sounds like the system is working fine, then the condensor or compressor gets too cold and freezes up (or gets WAY too hot). when you turn the A/C off, the system has time to stabilize and return to a more 'normal' condition.

The air conditioning in my 2004 mitsubishi lancer will periodically stop blowing cold air.

It could be a number of things...it may be low on freon...the drier/filter may need replaced...could have a bad expansion valve... regardless it should probably go to a qualified shop to be checked out...
