I assume you mean passcode. This is an easy fix.
You must put the iPod to DFU mode and then restore it thru iTunes.
Follow this steps to put your iPod to DFU mode: (please read everything first before executing)
1. While the iPod touch is turned "ON" connect it to the PC.
2. Once connected, turn it "OFF"
3. Press and hold the home button and the power button for 10 seconds.
4. Release the power button but not the home button.
5. Keep holding the home button until you hear your computer beeps, telling you that it recognizes a USB device was plugged in. This means you need to release the home button once you hear the PC beep. make sure you can hear every sound coming from your PC.
Note that your iPod's screen must not have any display while in DFU mode, only blank screen.
If any picture ever show up, just repeat the process until you get it right.
Once you're successful in putting your iPod to DFU mode, you can then restore it thru iTunes.
Just open iTunes and it will tell you that it recognizes your device in recovery more. Just click on restore.
Wait until the restore is complete and your problem is solved.
Note: Do not remove USB connection while in DFU mode or while restoring, keep your device plugged in.

Yes. but you don't nees to enter the passcode to be able to press the Home and the power buttons.

The home button is actually the only button in below your iPod's screen. The circle button with a little square in the middle. It looks like this:

Now, the power button is the only button on top of the iPod. It's exactly at the top-left corner of your iPod touch, opposite the headphone jack.

To turn off the iPod, tou just hold the power button for about 3 - 5 seconds until the the screen is totally black.

    Please read the instruction again.

You can follow this steps to solve the problem

1) Connect the iPod Touch
2) Press and hold sleep+home until the device reboots.
3) Keep holding until that "please connect me to iTunes"-screen appears
4) iTunes says something about having detected a touch in recovery mode. Allow it to do its thing.

If you get the -18 error, proceed:

5) Disconnect the iPod Touch
6) Close iTunes
7) Reconnect the iPod Touch
8) iTunes launches and shows message as in step 4, but this time, the recovery will work

How to Reset Forgotten Password on iPod touch

If you own an iPod touch, you have the option to set a password, which Apple calls a passcode, to protect your data.
Anyone who attempts to access your iPod, after unlocking it or turning it on, will require the passcode to do so.
However, if you forget your passcode or incorrectly enter it, you will eventually see an alert that your iPod touch has become disabled.
To unlock your iPod touch after forgetting the passcode, and still access your content, you must connect it to the computer with which you last synced it.

Connect your iPod touch to the computer with which you last synced the music player.
Launch iTunes if it does not automatically open.
Select your iPod touch under the devices list, and click the "Summary" tab in iTunes.
Click "Restore" and, when prompted, click the "Back Up" button to save a back up of your iPod touch in iTunes.

Click "Restore" when prompted, after the back up saves. After restoring, click "Ok."
Choose the most recent back up from the drop down list on the "Set Up Your iPod" screen.

Click the "Continue" button to restore your iPod touch.

I have forgotten my password for my apple i pod how do i access it

You will have to either guess the password or re-set it and recover it. To reset it hold the sleep and home buttons until it shuts off and on again. When it loads it should show the 'connect to itunes' picture.. connect it to itunes and recover it from there.

Aaah, very simple procedure. First, plug your new iPod into your computer. Second, open up iTunes. Third, your computer should recognize your new iPod and will prompt you to go through a simple iPod set up, then it will ask you if you want to sync your music library to it.
Hope this helps!
