Question about Mitsubishi WD-62525 62" Rear Projection HDTV

Did you fix the lamb issue?

I am having the exact same problem. I have changed the lamp and still no tv. The lamp indicator light is solid red and I have a 34 code. How do i know if I pushed the ballast plug out the tv housing. I just got this lamp and am wondering if i need to have it replaced. Please let me how you solved your issue. Thank you.

Thank you for the response. I am not familiar with the terminology here, ballast plugs. I am assuming you mean the connectors that the housing unit plugs into? If not, I do not see any other type of connector inside the housing frame after I pull the housing unit out. Also, I was told this problem could be caused by a bad ballast on the circuit board. Does this sound like something that could have happened? I have never had any issues with this TV until now. I would greatly appreciate any input you provide because I am unable to use the TV at all. It will not power on. The lamp indicator light stays red. The only way to change it to green is to unplug. However, the lamp turns red after 30 secs when re-plugged.

These ballast plugs are fairly fragile and bend out of the way all the time, remove the lamp and see if this has happened. Other problems that cause this is capacitors in the power supply for the five volt line but check the connector first

No sound or picture. red timer light on. wd60735

Hi there,

This model as 3 LED indicator lights:

1) Power/Timer 2) Status 3) Lamp

If "STATUS" LED is blinking RED:

1) Internal Fan has stopped. These tv's require fans, to prevent overheating and causing damage.

If "STATUS" LED is solid RED:

1) Circuit failure (short)
2) Disconnected DVI cable, chassis to engine
3) No LAMP-EN signal from Engine to turn the lamp On.
4) Ballast UART communication problem.

If "LAMP" LED is solid RED:

1) Lamp Failure - Lamp failed to turn On.
2) Lamp is broken (e.g. burst or blown)
3) Lamp turns Off during P-ON

There is no data relating to TIMER LED being solid RED.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Scott

What is the red light on my wd-60737 mean?

You can Google the brand and model number for a free owner manual but on the set indicated it means usually the lamp is the issue.

After changing the bulb image will not come on and solid orange light appears

Other then POWER BUTTON light there are three lights more
1. lamp indicator
2. temperature indicator
3. computer input
witch one light is flashing RED or illuminated RED with POWER BUTTON orange light.
If LAMP INDICATOR light is illuminated RED than lamp runtime has reached 1800 hours. but projector still working.
If LAMP INDICATOR light flashing RED than lamp circuit failure, or abnormal function or lamp unit is damaged. In this case projector doing the same behave just like your projector.
if TEMPERATURE indicator illuminating RED the projector still projecting and if flashing RED than turned of itself

sounds like the caps on the power board have failed. You can get the V26 DM/Power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which also contains the instructions.
