Check to make sure your audio drivers are up to date. This is probably the reason you don't have audio. If you need further help on updating the drivers, do a google search for audio drivers update windows xp.

The first one can be unlocked using a program called Active@password.
The second one can be unlocked for $30. Hope this helps.

I uninstalled the audio by accident how do i install it again ?

Reboot the laptop, the Software should ID the Hardware and apply the generic driver, Or, Open Control Panel, Device Manager, San for Hardware Changes, the Scan should ID and apply the driver, reboot. OR, you can find the Dell Latitude D610 Windows XP drivers here: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/Product/latitude-d610. Run Windows Updates and Dell Updates for current and up-to-date drivers.

My dell latitude d610 has a window message that says the system is not fully installed. please run setup again. I hit ok and it shuts down and powers back on with the same message. Please help. Im not good...

Get the cd that came with your computer. Put the cd in next time you see the message and next time it powers back on you will have the set up options, follow the prompts to repair or re-install windows it may take a while. Everything will be fine.

How can i get sound drives for dell laptop latitude D610 using window 7 os.

Unfortunately this computer is not windows 7 compatible, this means that sony is not gonna issue drivers for the laptop base on win7, however the os can be installed and you try using the drivers for windows xp, it is not sure but probably win7 would take those drivers.
give it a try it has worked for me, i include the xp drivers download link

My themes and backgrounds in yahoo mail and Shutterfly website wont work anymore.I have a Dell Latitude D610 laptop with Windows XP Pro Did something get uninstalled? Any help appreciated!

I don't have software loss like yours, but do have a c610. I had the Bios tell me a module is problematic, however they were all removed, You can flash a BIOS update off their support site. If HDD software gets corrupted, you really need a safe haven to reinstall from, partitioned, or off the drive via external device or disc
