Question about Motorola Mobility Q9m Smartphone

Freezing issues phone worked great for about the first two weeks, no problems at all. out of the blue i was trying to send a text message and it would only let me type the first word, and then it would freeze. no backspace, neither of the soft keys would work, the only way to get it to do anything was hit the power button or home button and then it would go back to the home screen but it would be either frozen or lagging badly moving through the options of the VZW layout. Verizon was no help, and i've tried taking the battery out, updating software, etc. If i shut it down and take the battery out that will help for a short period and then it goes back to its evil ways. Love the phone, but this is getting frustrating. Hope you can help!

My phone works fine except when texting. I can input the recipient's name but when i try to type the body of the text message, the qwerty keyboard stops working. I can go back to the main menu but then it freezes and also will not let me unlock the keypad. I have taken the battery out a number of times and it still does the same thing. Any suggestions? Thanks

My phone worked great for the past few months. All of a sudden, the screen turned black once. Since then, it will barely send or allow me to read texts, and everything else is very slow, if it works at all. If I power down, and restart it, it helps for one or two texts, but what the hell is going on?

I have been thru 3 of these phones with Verizon never able to fix them. This suggestion was AWESOME and solved all my problems.

I had the same problem... the phone kept freezing up and I was unable to actually type a text message. Also any function I tried moved very slow if it did anything at all.

I think your mobile is affected by virus. I suggest you to format your memory card and flash your phone. Dont use the backup you have taken other than the contacts. Load other things manually and frehly. hope this helps.!!

G1 always displaying a force close message

Try downloading Txtract from the G1 Market. It's listed under "tools". Use this application to save the text messages you've been hoarding to your SD card, then delete the text messages from your phone. Your G1 will work like new again!

Does your phone have a data plan attached to it through T-mobile. I know there is one plan that contains 400 messages to it.

If you do check with G1 support at T-Mobile to find out if there is network issue or a software bug.

They can fix it on their end.

Text is stuck in my outbox

I had this same problem. Deleting and clicking "yes" at the warning screen would not remove the message from my outbox and the message kept resending for days.

Solution: In the Outbox, click "Menu" > Empty Deleted Items. Click "yes" at the warning. The message should now be gone from your outbox and your text buddy should now be able to regain sanity.

T-mobile credited back the resent text messages when I called them.
